Whole-grain waffles with fruit compote

For the wafers:
150g wholemeal flour;
75g white flour;
500 ml of yogurt;
50 g poppy;
1-2 tbsp. l. sugar;
1 packet of baking powder;
1/2 h. L. salt;
3 eggs;
130 g butter (melted)

For the compote:
4-5 pieces of fruit (peaches, apricots, nectarines);
2 tbsp. l. sugar;
1/2 lemon

1. In a bowl, sift flour, both, baking powder, add sugar and salt.

2. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and pour in a little yogurt. Then pour in the cooled melted butter. Stir.

3. Pour the liquid into the dry ingredients and stir everything thoroughly to avoid lumps.

4. Bake in the preheated waffle iron according to manufacturer’s instructions.

5. For the compote: cut fruit slices, sprinkle with sugar and add lemon juice. Mix and place over medium heat. Stir, bring to a boil and simmer for about 10 minutes. Serve the warm waffles.
