Salad Horiatiki

Salad Horiatiki – recipe.

Salad Horiatiki


  • 1 peeled and chopped slices of 2.5 cm. Seedless cucumber
  • 340 gr. ripe cherry tomato halves
  • 6 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 2 crushed cloves of garlic
  • 2 tsp coarse salt, plus a little more to taste
  • 1 cup olive oil
  • 2 tsp chopped fresh oregano
  • Ground black pepper
  • 170 gr. (About 1 tbsp.) Kalamata olives
  • 225 gr. crumbled feta cheese
  • 1 purified from the hard stems and torn into small pieces romaine lettuce (about 450 gr.)
  • 1 sliced 1.5 cm. The small head of red onion (soak in cold water for 5 min. And drain)
  • 1 seeded and diced green pepper

In a small bowl whisk together the lemon juice, garlic, salt and oil. Add oregano and pepper to taste.

Before serving: In a large bowl, gently mix the salad with a small amount of filling. Arrange the salad in 4 salad bowls. On top sprinkle green olives, cheese, cucumber, tomatoes, onions and peppers. Serve by putting on the table the remaining dressing.
