Poached on steak (British cuisine)

Poached on the steak – the recipe of British cuisine, this recipe combines two dishes which need to cook properly. As for the steak, then of course, the degree of preparation – for an amateur, but the poached egg should always be perfect. When cutting the yolk should flow, thereby watering steak. Vegetables steak with poached egg, you can choose any you like, or seasonal. It is not advisable to apply the poached steak with boiled potatoes or pasta, this may spoil the taste – the best vegetables and herbs.


-Eggs – 4 pcs.
-Beef – 4 steaks
-Cloves – 1 bud
-Coriander – a pinch
-Black pepper – a pinch
-Allspice – pinch
-Cardamom – 1 pc.
-Star anise – 1/6 pcs.
-Fennel – 1 pinch
-Bay leaf – 1 pc.
-Balsamic vinegar
-Vegetable oil


Spices grind in a mortar with addition of salt.

Grinded spices pour evenly on the board and roll them all, cut a piece of meat.
In a pan pour oil, put the meat to heat and fry on all sides until golden brown. Fry the meat over high heat is necessary, otherwise it will not turn a good crust, and the juice runs out. Periodically, you need to crush the meat scapula.

If you do not like red meat, then put the pan after browning in the oven and there dopekite meat. You can also cut after roasting meat into portions and lightly fry in the same pan.

In a deep saucepan bring to boil salted water.

The eggs one by one, carefully, without breaking the yolk, to drive into the cup. When the water comes to a boil, reduce heat, and with a spoon in water to make a whirlpool. In this maelstrom omit the egg and cook for 1 minute. Protein should envelop the yolk.

If you do not want to do that, you can cook the eggs in a pouch or a fried egg.

On a plate put prepared vegetables, put on top of the steak and cooked poached egg.
