Lentil soup with bacon.

To prepare 4 servings of soup

we need:
• 250 grams of bacon,
• 1 onion,
• 2 medium-sized carrots,
• 3 cloves garlic,
• 2 tbsp tomato paste,
• half cup green lentils,
• 850 ml chicken broth,
• a sprig of thyme.

Cooking method:           

1. The bacon cut into small pieces and fry until crisp it almost dry state skillet.

2. Onions and carrots cut into cubes. Adding to the bacon and fry, stirring, for 2-3 minutes.

3. Garlic crushed, add the vegetables and bacon with tomato paste. Stir and simmer for about a minute.

4. Add the vegetables and bacon lentils, thyme and broth. Mix. Bring to a boil.

5. Bates heat to low and simmer, covered 30-45 minutes (until cooked lentils).

6.Served at the table, sprinkle with grated cheddar.
