Lebanese meatballs


250 grams of minced beef
250g minced lamb
1 beaten egg
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/2 cup of cottage cheese (or feta cheese)
1/2 cup sliced ​​green onions
1/4 cup finely chopped parsley
1/4 cup finely chopped mint
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon cardamom
salt and black pepper to taste
2 tablespoons olive oil

Yogurt Sauce:
2 cups plain yogurt
1/2 cup of the mixture of parsley, mint, dill, green onions
juice of 1 lemon
1 clove garlic, sliced
salt to taste

1. In a large bowl, mix all ingredients for the meatballs. All spices, herbs, beef, cheese, other than olive oil – we need it for frying meatballs. Try to mix all the ingredients are not very stirring beef, so meatballs will be more tender.

2. Roll small balls accurate. About 4-5 centimeters in diameter.

3. Place the pan over medium heat, add the olive oil and fry the meatballs until golden brown, turning occasionally on different sides for a few minutes.
