Irish dish of potatoes.

Irish scones taste like cakes with potatoes. In them, you can add herbs, fried onions, bacon, and can only be made from potatoes.

-Potatoes 250 gr.
-1 cup flour
-butter or margarine 4 tbsp. l.
-milk 2 tbsp. l.
-salt 1/2 hours. l.

-frying oil to taste

Peel the potatoes, cut into cubes and boil in salted water until tender. The water is drained potatoes to stretch into a puree. Cool to room temperature.

In a separate bowl, combine the sifted flour with salt and baking powder, chop chilled butter and rub his hands into crumbs.
Add the mashed potatoes and mix.
In the middle make a well, pour the milk, add spices (if adding). Knead the dough to make it a smooth, homogeneous.
Divide dough into two parts. Every roll out the cake of about half a centimeter thick.
Cut into segments, into eight parts.
Fry in vegetable oil until golden color. Serve hot with sour cream or yogurt, natural yogurt.
