British snacks – pate mushroom

Pate – traditional English snack. One of the favorite dishes of Queen Elizabeth.
In most cases, this dish is served with bread, grilled or salted crackers. A good company will make pâté marinated artichokes, grilled peppers and pickles. In addition, the stalemate is an excellent sauce for baked potatoes in the oven or grilled fish or steak.
If the snack mix with grated cheese, get a great pizza toppings.
Preparation of the paste will not be difficult, but its delicate flavor will not leave anyone indifferent.

Yield dishes – 2 cups.
Mushrooms mushrooms – 500 grams
Onions – 1 piece (large size)
Cream cheese (preferably, Philadelphia) – 250 grams
Garlic – 2 cloves
Butter – 2 tbsp
Vegetable oil – 2 tbsp
Dry white wine – 50 grams
Salt – 0.5 tsp
Black pepper – to taste
Fresh thyme – 2 tablespoons
Fresh rosemary – 2 tablespoons

Cooking method:
Onions peeled, finely chop. Garlic cut into thin plates. Mushrooms washed, cut into small slices.
Preheat a frying pan, add the vegetable oil, put the onion and garlic and fry until the onions transparency. Add mushrooms and fry over moderate heat for about ten minutes. Pour 50 grams of wine, cook until complete evaporation of the liquid. Remove the pan from the heat, allow to cool a little fungi. Put consistency in a blender. Add salt, black pepper, Philadelphia cream cheese (it should be in advance to get it out of the fridge, you should consider the following point: prior to grinding in a blender or one ingredient should not be cold – each product should be at room temperature), ground to a thick smooth. Add finely chopped fresh herbs (or dry grass).
Note that, in the absence of fresh herbs, you can use dried. In this case, the amount of seasoning to be reduced by half (instead of a pair of spoons to be sufficient one).
Serve pâté should be in a slightly heated form, the dish in the refrigerator may be stored up to six days.
Pate is laid out on the dried slices of bread or garlic croutons.
For this recipe pâté is recommended to submit the following varieties of wine: Inniskillin Cabernet Franc or French Rabbit Pinot Noir.
