– 350 g flour
– 170 g of sugar,
– 3 eggs,
– 1/2 tsp baking powder,
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 150 g of almonds (or a mixture of almond and pistachio).

Heat oven to 180 degrees. Lay a baking parchment. Sift flour into a bowl, add baking powder, a pinch of salt, sugar, vanilla and eggs.

Mix well until homogeneous. Add nuts. The dough becomes quite tight. Divide it into 2 or 4 (for very small pechenyushek) parts. Roll each into a long roll, lightly priplyuschit. Put on a baking sheet. You can lubricate lightly beaten egg whites.

Bake for about 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Pull from oven, cool slightly and very sharp knife (a bread), cut diagonally into slices 1 cm thick. Put them on a baking sheet and put back in the oven for 15-20 minutes. Totally cool. Store in an airtight jar. Eat dunking in coffee … or Marsala.
