Beets in French

This is a real simple peasant meal Frenchman. Sweet beets, slice of cheese, a loaf of bread. A simple dish, but delicious in French) to prepare the beets, it must first peel.

water 2 tbsp. l.
shallots 1 piece.
1 bunch Swiss chard
beet greens (you can combine the red and golden) 4-6 pcs.
butter 3 tbsp. l.
Boucheron cheese (or other goat cheese) 250 g

Cooking method: 
Soak the leaves and blanch. Then finely chop the tops of beets and spinach into small pieces, removing red streaks.

In a large saucepan, melt the butter. Sauté shallots.

Add the beets, cut into slices. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Fry beets for 15 minutes, until it becomes soft and glazed.

Then add the herbs and fry for another 5 minutes. Then add the wine.

Cook until the greens are tender, adding water if necessary.

Serve with cheese and french baguette!
