BANANA CAKE (BREAD) With pecans and caramel sauce.


Ingredients: (cupcake very small size)
– Article 2/3 (240 mL) sugar
– Article 1/3 of melted butter,
– 1 large egg,
– Article 2/3 mashed banana (approx. 1-2 banana)
– Article 1/3 of the buttermilk or yogurt,
– Article 1 2/3 flour
– 2/3 tsp baking powder,
– Article 2/3 of chopped pecans (can walnut)
– Vanilla,
– 2 tablespoons poppy seeds (optional).

For the caramel sauce:
– 1 tbsp sugar
– 5 tbsp water
– 50 g of butter,
– 50-80 ml cream 33%
– A pinch of sea salt.

Cooking method: 

For this cake is best to use very ripe bananas, almost blackened skin, they are the most fragrant. This is what becomes an occasion for me to bake it.

Heat oven to 180 degrees. The form of grease with butter, you can put baking paper. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, poppy seeds, vanilla, or a bag of vanilla sugar. In another whisk lightly beaten eggs, sugar, butter, mashed potatoes, buttermilk. Pour dry mixture. Stir and add the nuts. Pour the batter into the pan, put in the oven. Bake for about 45-50 minutes. Willingness to define a wooden skewer. Cake put on the grill and cool.

Prepare the caramel: In a saucepan with a thick bottom pan, or combine the water and sugar. Bring to the state candy. It is advisable not to interfere with a spoon, but just shake pan to crystallize the sugar. Pour warmed cream and melted butter. Mix well, add pinch sea salt, as desired. Pour over cake while still warm caramel. You can also serve the sauce separately.
