Apples fried in batter (Chinese cuisine)


Apples – 400 g
Flour – 100 g
Egg – 3 pieces.
Water – 100 g
Sugar – 20g
Vegetable oil – 100 g
Sesame oil – 10 g
Salt – 5 g


1. Wash the apples, peel, remove seeds and skins. Cut the apples into strips or slices of middle-sized as you like.
2. Beat the eggs, separate the whites from the yolks.
3. Beat the whites into a foam mixer or whisk. Mash the yolks with the sugar, add to the flour and salt, mix well.
4. The yolk-flour mixture, pour the cold water and gently lay the beaten egg whites. All mix until smooth. Batter should be airy and delicate.
5. Heat the oil in a frying pan with a thick bottom.
6. Cut the apples dip in batter and quickly spread into the hot oil. Fry until golden brown.
7. Arrange apple slices on a platter and sprinkle with sesame oil. Serve hot.
If you do not have sesame seeds or you do not love it, sprinkle the apples in batter with powdered sugar.
