Today you will find something special — homemade recipe for spicy pumpkin liqueur. This pumpkin liqueur will warm you on cold autumn and winter evenings and bestow fabulous aroma. It can be added to coffee and pastries, as well as use in the preparation of desserts.

You will need:

2 cups water (1 cup = 250 ml);
1 cup granulated sugar;
1 cup brown sugar;
430 g pumpkin puree;
6 medium cinnamon sticks (you can substitute ground);
6 cloves;
2 vanilla bean, split lengthwise (can take vanillin);
2 glasses of rum.

How to cook:

1. In a medium saucepan, pour water, add sugar, bring to a boil over medium heat. Add the pumpkin puree, cinnamon sticks, cloves, vanilla and vanilla beans, a little stir everything with the corolla, return to the heat and bring to a boil again.

2. Reduce the heat to low and cook, stirring constantly until, until the mixture will acquire an intense aroma, — about 30 minutes.

3. Meanwhile, prepare everything for straining pumpkin liqueur. To do this, take a piece of gauze, measuring approximately 30 × 30 cm, and they will cover a saucepan. Pour our billet for the future of the liquor directly on the gauze, wait a little bit until she hissed.

4. Carefully, using a rubber spatula, can be a little pressure on the mass of the pumpkin to release the remaining liquid. The contents of the filter can be discarded. Total should get about 2 cups pumpkin liquid.

5. Finally add the rum, and still just a good mix. Transfused liquor in a quart jar or bottle and put aside to cool down to room temperature — about 1 hour.

6. Tightly close the bottle and store it in a cool, dark place from 2 days to 3 months.

To become more fragrant liquor, let it brew for a few days before serving.
