Greek cuisine: recipe dzadziki

Delicious appetizer with garlic yoghurt and cucumber.
Dzadziki — this is one of the most popular dishes of Greek cuisine, based on yogurt appetizer with garlic, grated cucumber, herbs and spices. It is used as a sauce to dip vegetables, bread, meat or fish.

Dzadziki — it’s a great alternative to sauces based on mayonnaise or sour cream. Try it!

Greek cuisine: recipe dzadziki

you will need:

1 cucumber
250 g of yoghurt
2 cloves garlic
1 teaspoon olive oil
20 g dill
1-2 tsp lemon juice
Salt and ground black pepper to taste

How to cook:

1.Cucumber wash, take off the peel and finely sodium. To obtain a liquid sauce, be sure to drain excess juice or squeeze through cheesecloth.

2. Garlic peel, wash, dry and finely chop or skip through the spadefoot. Greens wash, dry. Dill finely chopped.

3. Mix the grated cucumber, chopped garlic and dill. Add the yogurt, olive oil and lemon juice, mix well. Season with salt and pepper.

4. Before serving, the sauce to cool, laid out in bowls, decorate olives and dill. Dzadziki Serve with lightly toasted bread, vegetables, as well as dishes of meat and poultry.
